Josephine has officially transitioned into a post-tropical cyclone, according to an update from the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Forecasters noted Thursday afternoon that the storm's convective cloud pattern has evolved to resemble a warm frontal band, showing little evidence of the curvature typical of tropical cyclones. The circulation center has also become increasingly elongated as the system loses its tropical features.
