Delta Air Lines is preparing to say goodbye to its aging Boeing 767-300ER transcontinental fleet as part of a wider retirement of older aircraft.

To manage the transition, Delta has ordered Boeing 787-10 widebodies. The airline is not relying on Boeing alone, however. Airbus A330neo and A321neo jets are also slated to play major roles in reshaping the carrier's line-up as the veteran 767s exit service.
