Avianca is adjusting its widebody flying between Bogota and New York JFK for the Northern winter 2026/27 schedule.

One of the airline's three daily rotations on the route, flight AV244/245, will no longer run on the carrier's own Boeing 787-8. Instead, the service shifts to Spanish charter operator Wamos Air. Operations kick off with an Airbus A330-200 on October 26, 2026, before switching over to a Wamos Air Airbus A330-300 beginning November 25, 2026.
